Sam Maloof inspired Rocking chair

Well folks I just got back from California and while I was out there I stopped by the new De younge Museum in the Golden Gate park. I highly recommend this museum to anyone it reallt is awe-inspiring to see the works of so many extremely talented artists. In the museum they had a rocking chair built by Sam Maloof, it was a chair I had been anticipating building for a while. After getting up close and seeing the finer details of the chair I was able to take my observations and use them to help me design and build my own chair from scratch. So here it is made from White Ash hardwood and stained to give it a more warming appearance. Everything is made from solid wood except the rockers which are made from eight 1/4″ thick strips of Ash glued together with marine-grade expoxy. The chair is incredibly comfortable and beggs to be touched and used when it is seen!

Selmer Gypsy Body Assembly

Here are some pics of a Top Plate being fitted and glued to the ribbings of the guitar body.

Natural Coffee Table

This coffee table was cut from a single tree and shaped with a pleasing contour in harmony with the grain and original shape of the wood. It’s finished with high quality stain and varnish, complete with the knots and natural imperfections inherent in the wood to give it a more natural appearance. The table is recommended for indoor use only, even though the photos were taken outside to echo its esthetic appeal.
